• A switch block is a group of standard switch elements mounted together as a single unit. See the element definitions for a printer-friendly drawing of standard switch elements. The maximum number of pole positions in a block is 52.
  
  
• A block automatically has a mounting ear and an insulating barrier at the beginning and at the end of the block. An insulating barrier is automatically placed between elements that are not specified as "Shorted".
  
  
• In visualizing the block, standard element positioning is Left to Right, hinge down. The hinge will be up in elements specified as "Upside Down".
  
  
• In the form below, the "How Many" column allows easy repetition of an element. "Ganged ..." and "Shorted ..." always apply between each element and the next element to the right.
